Wheel Misalignment

The Vehicle Misalignment Detection virtual sensor continuously monitors and identifies asymmetries in the vehicle’s suspension setup in real time, utilizing existing onboard sensors. Misalignment can result from various factors, such as road impacts, uneven tire wear, suspension issues, or mechanical component failures.

By detecting these anomalies early, the system enhances vehicle stability and reduces the risk of loss of control or unintended deviation from the intended trajectory.

Additionally, it helps prevent uneven tire wear, prolonging tire life and minimizing the frequency of maintenance interventions.

This advanced technology can integrate seamlessly with other vehicle safety and control systems, optimizing overall efficiency and enhancing ride comfort for a safer and more reliable driving experience.

Predictive Tire Wear & Vehicle Efficiency Optimization
Thanks to the VMD output displayed on the HMI, the driver is always informed if the vehicle is operating under a configuration that abnormally increases tire wear.
Adaptive Speed
and Distance
Optimization
In cases where the VMD detects high asymmetry, the ACC system can adjust the speed, increase the safety distance, or be deactivated if necessary.
Active
steering
correction
When VMD asymmetry is detected, lateral dynamics actuators can be continuously modulated to ensure symmetric vehicle behavior, both during straight-line driving and cornering.
